One of the best aspects to my profession as a Home Stager and Interior Redesigner is the relationships that are developed during the Redesign process. When a Homeowner invites you into their home, to assist with updating and recreating their spaces, they invite you into their personal lives and their family history.

My most recent project was finally completed yesterday. It took approximately 2 months from the time of the consultation to the day of completion. With that said, I can honestly say that I have been touched and enriched not to mention honored by this project. The rich history of this family has helped me connect to the richness of the history of where I live. I moved to South Carolina's "Low Country" ten years ago, from California. As we all know the history of these two states is vastly different in many ways.

This particular home dates back to the 1920's but the history of this local family that lives in it dates back to what I must conclude is well over 200 years. One of the previous owners of this home was an artist and painted an incredible mural on the walls of the dining room. This mural captures the rich history of what must be the 1700's. My clients decided to keep the mural on the plaster walls when they purchased this home 15 years ago. Together, we decided on furnishings and fixtures that would compliment the period with todays decor trends.

Here are a few "unprofessional photos" of this amazing room.
